Former APC national chairmanship aspirant at the 2022 convention, Mohammed Said Etsu sues former Kano state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, National Working committee (NWC), National Executive Committee (NEC) and the APC party, seeking an interlocutory injunction to restrain the embattled national chairman from presiding over the National Executive Committee, the national working committee and any function pertaining to the office of the national chairman.
The lawsuit, FHC/ABJ/CV/2258/2024, filed on Monday, 6th of may, at the Federal High Court in Abuja by Barrister Obona Obla, predicated on fourty one grounds of violations, one of which is the violation of the consensus candidacy agreed to be zone to North Central at the 2022 convention.
The documents obtained by BuzzCapital also shows that the plaintiff is aggrieved for lack of rule of law and jettisoning of procedures and the party’s supreme organ (National Convention) directive as regards replacement of a national officer which stipulates that the State executive committee must propose a replacement and thereafter forward to the National Executive Committee for approval.
